Home | About this Ministry | Messages | Public Speaking | Bookstore | Live Prayer | Contact Us I just got back from a near perfect afternoon at the beach where I was blessed to enjoy one of my favorite sports, beach volleyball... I can't tell you how much I love to play the game, running around soft white sand under a bright Florida Sunshine. I can only thank God for allowing me to do this today! This week's message is all about being thankful for the blessings God provides in your life. Often we don't realize how lucky we are in our lives, and so I thought I would put out a call hoping some of you pickup the phone on this one... A wife or husband, children, a job, a car. A home, friends, clothes to wear. A bed to sleep on and, even, food to eat. All these things are true blessings given to you by God himself and could be taken away in an instant. Then why not be thankful for all these things? Because slowly, we begin to take these things for granted. We forget what life would be like without these blessings in our lives. It's important we are made aware of other people's prayers when we forget how fortunate we are. Never forget everything in life is relative to each person's situation, and that your own life is at the same time insignificant and eternal. + Are you blessed to have food to eat while others
pray for a single piece of fruit to share with the members of their
families? You see, being thankful is only the beginning. Once you realize how truly fortunate you are to be blessed, you will seek God's mission for your life understanding there is more to life than personal gain or even daily comfort. It is those who live in a comfy bubble that never accomplish anything. Just when everything seems to be coming together, it is then you need to step outside and seek a challenge serving God in thankfulness. By giving your life a purpose and striving for God to put you to work for Him, you become truly alive! And so, look around you and be thankful for all that God has made possible in your life. Always remember if not for Him, you might be sleeping in the street begging for enough spare change to buy a meal. Or are you pretending this could never happen to you? Be thankful, not vain. Let's pray... Father God; God please look after our families and friends
as you do us Lord we pray you'll guide our footsteps God please forgive our sins and lead us to live
