Earlier this week, my wife Elizabeth shared a poem with me about Jesus being a guest in our homes. I wanted to share it with you and dig a little deeper in an effort to help you make changes in your life, if necessary. If Jesus came to your house to spend a Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room And you would keep assuring Him But when you saw Him coming, Or would you have to change your Or hide some magazines and put Would you turn off the radio, and Would you hide your worldly music, Could you let Jesus come right in And I wonder if the Savior spent Would you go right on saying the Would your family conversation Would you sing the songs you always And let Him know the things on which Would you take Jesus with you Or would you maybe change your Would you be glad to have Him Or would you hope they'd stay away Would you be glad to have Him Or would you sigh with great relief It might be interesting to know the So clean out your closets What if He did come to your home? I can tell you He's already there... "Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?" (2 Corinthians 13:5). He is watching your every move, listening to every conversation, Christ lives within every believer. As Christians, there would be no need to put out a bible where it should be, it's already there. There would be no need to change our clothes, we're already wearing godly garments. No need to change the station on the radio or CD in the stereo. No need to watch our mouths. No need to alter your plans, your daily routine or cancel your dinner plans with friends or family. My question to you is this: Is your home ready for Jesus Christ? Are your ways godly ones? Do you glorify God in ALL you do? Are you growing in Christ, through Christ? Are you following in Jesus' footsteps? Are you allowing Christ to complete the work He began in you? "And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ". (Philippians 1:6) I invite you to continue making changes in your life that glorify God, growing in your salvation until Christ' return. Remember Jesus lives within you and that He is your spiritual home. Let's pray... Father God; We pray you will continue to do your work in us Lord we pray you will give us strength to lead
righteous lives God we thank you for your forgiving our sins Praise God, This message was written by Rev. Daniel St.Pierre
