One more sunset brings this week to a close. I have to admit, sitting on a beach digging my toes into the sand watching seagulls hover over the water as the sun drops behind the horizon brings everything into perspective. I am one fortunate guy and blessed to witness such magnificence!

I almost forgot how lucky I was this week and let stress darken otherwise bright sunny days. I often take my work too seriously and find myself worrying instead of enjoying the challenges brought on by God. I pray you don't make the same mistake and that you continue to enjoy the positive side from each situation rather than dwell on the negative. It's not easy but it is the righteous way, anyone can sweat the small stuff but it takes a strong person to see past the smoke when there's a fire burning within...

The trick to living a happy life is to always try and look at the big picture, much like an endurance race. It's okay to slow down and pace yourself, dealing with each obstacle and learning from each mistake, what's important is that we keep going and get stronger along the way.

Don't be afraid of what lies ahead, instead be thankful for all that you will learn from your experiences. No one ever grows from standing still in the middle of nowhere! Those who stand to learn most are people who are willing to try anything and won't let fear get in their way!

I challenge you to do just that this week, to not only meet a challenge head on but surpass your own expectations by trying, by taking on a task you otherwise would put on the back burner. Fill your heart with God's light and start running the race knowing he will give you the strength you need to finish. You are stronger then you know, especially when you let God take charge. Father God;
We thank you for this week and for your blessings in our lives
Thank you for looking after us and guiding our footsteps,
For giving our lives purpose in ways we can barely imagine
And for leading us to the way ever lasting.

Lord we pray you will give us strength in testing moments
And provide us with all the tools we need to succeed
Meeting each challenge and surpassing our own expectations.

Father we ask that you forgive our sins
And that you help us live a more perfect life
From the time we awaken each day
Until the time we lie down to sleep each night.

God we pray that you will continue to look after us
Our friends, families and those who seek you,
And that you will keep up healthy and strong
So that we may fulfill our mission in this life.
