"When did you know you were a Christian?" asked a friend of mine a while back. I remember having quite a colorful discussion with him going back and forth talking about Christianity.
The truth is I never really answered his question. Sure I explained when I was saved and even exclaimed that I was when I became born again so I'm confident that it was it for me. The time I knew when I was Christian.
You see I wasn't raised in a Christian home. Part-time Catholics at best, my family and close relatives would only attend church at weddings and funerals. Some odd year, we would rush to midnight mass but rarely.
Still I remember having God in my heart. I suppose part of me was Christian seeing how I loved the Lord on all my own.
When I was 35 years old, a visit to Saddleback church in California changed my life forever. I came face to face my people of God and instantly took flight.
That's when it happened for me.
My friend and I agreed growing-up in a Christian home doesn't make someone Christian. Accepting Jesus Christ as our savior and walking in His footsteps is a conscious decision one must make in order to walk in the light.
Choosing Christ as your guide is a daily devotion which requires undivided attention. Putting God first repeatedly ensures success in this life and opens wide the gates of Heaven for all that you choose to be in the eyes of the Lord!
I invite all of you to spread God's light all around you and share His love with all those in need. Always remember to wake-up in the morning, go to bed at night and serve the good Lord in between! Let's pray...

Father God;
We thank you for your all mighty grace
And for all that you are in our lives,
We thank you Lord for the Light
You continue to shine bright upon us.
Father we pray you will keep providing for us
And answer the prayers of those in need,
Giving hope to believers and
Nonbelievers as well.
Lord lead us to the way ever lasting
Guide our footsteps and show us through
To success as a God loving Christian in this life
And eternal joy as your servant in the next.
God we love you and thank you for all that surrounds us!
